Army Cadets Summer Competition 2025

15 July - 30 August

To start the competition, you will need to register first using the registration code. The code can be found on the posters and announcements for this competition. Once you're in, join or create a team.

What is a CTF competition?

A CTF (Capture The Flag) competition is a fun and beginner-friendly way to learn cybersecurity skills by solving challenges to find hidden "flags" — special codes that prove you’ve solved a task.

This is a beginner-friendly CTF, so challenges include:

The important thing to remember is that this isn't a test of your knowledge, it's a digital scavenger hunt. Some flags will be easier to find than others. If you're stuck, keep trying and consult any hints or the resouces page for links to helpful things.

Each flag you find earns you points, and the goal is to collect as many as possible!

Do I need to be in a team?

You can participate individually or as part of a team. If you're on your own, just create a team and don't add anyone else to it.

Register first (using the registration code from the competition poster or announcement) and then you can create a team or join one.

Can I use my phone?

As many tasks as possible have been designed to be mobile-friendly. However, most tasks are a bit easier (less faff to copy and paste, etc.) if you are able to use a laptop or desktop PC. Working in teams with mobile phones can make it a bit easier.

How do you win?

The team with the most points on the closing day wins. Check the scoreboard to see how teams are doing.

Who can I contact with any questions or problems?
